IT Support Specialist
About the role
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for delivering reliable helpdesk support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, managing user accounts and devices, and contributing to ongoing IT projects. This role is primarily based at Wivenhoe, with travel to our Wynyard and Burnie sites as required.
Key responsibilities
Triage, prioritise and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk requests
Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer and network issues
Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions and workstation settings
Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra and Intune environments
Install, maintain and update applications, operating systems and drivers
Maintain accurate support records and documentation within the ticketing system
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Manage desktop and peripheral asset inventories using Endpoint Management tools
Develop and update knowledge base articles and user guides
Contribute to IT projects and technology improvement initiatives
About you
Experience in a Level 1 and/or Level 2 IT Support or Helpdesk position
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops, networking and end-user technologies
Experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
Exposure to Entra ID, Intune and endpoint management solutions
Experience working with helpdesk or ticketing systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A proactive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support colleagues
Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
Current Australian Driver's Licence
