The Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Part-Time IT Support Specialist provides frontline technical support to Community Foundation staff, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, conferencing systems, and general office technology. This role is the first point of contact for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and works closely with the IT Director and other IT staff to maintain a secure, well-functioning technology environment for a small-to-mid-size nonprofit office.
Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line helpdesk support for hardware, software, printing, and connectivity issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.

Set up and configure new employee workstations, accounts, and mobile devices; process equipment returns for departing staff.

Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Support audio/video and conferencing technology for meetings and events.

Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and equipment assignments.

Assist with basic user account administration in Active Directory/Microsoft 365 under IT policy guidance.

Document recurring issues and resolutions to build out an internal knowledge base.

Escalate complex technical issues to the Managing Director of IT or appropriate vendor/support partner.

Support basic conference room and office technology troubleshooting during business hours.
