IT Support & Systems Administration Roles

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for IT Support & Systems Administration Roles based in the United States.

This contract opportunity is designed for IT professionals supporting reliable, secure, and high-performing technology environments.
The roles cover a broad range of responsibilities across technical support, systems administration, cloud services, and infrastructure operations.
You will help maintain critical IT systems while troubleshooting issues and ensuring a consistent experience for users and business teams.
The environment combines Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, identity management, backup solutions, and service desk operations.
Success requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to both cloud and on-premises environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The roles are remote across the United States and are offered on a contract basis.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical support and systems administration services across Windows-based IT environments, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, and performant.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and Active Directory, including user, system, and access-related activities.
  • Support cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, and assist with the ongoing administration and optimization of cloud-based services.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and other technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Support service desk operations and ITIL-aligned processes, responding to incidents, service requests, and technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage and support identity and access management processes to help maintain appropriate levels of system and data access.
  • Monitor and maintain backup systems, including solutions such as Veritas NetBackup, and support data recovery and business continuity requirements.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate technical documentation, system procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and deliver dependable IT services supporting business operations.
  • Contribute to systems maintenance, security improvements, automation initiatives, and ongoing infrastructure enhancements.
  • Where applicable, support Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows, macOS, and other platforms within a multi-platform technology environment.
  • Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or a closely related technical role.
    • Strong proficiency with Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
    • Hands-on experience supporting cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within Microsoft-based technology environments.
    • Experience creating and maintaining clear, accurate technical documentation.
    • Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup.
    • Familiarity with ITIL principles, service desk operations, incident management, and service request processes.
    • Knowledge of identity and access management concepts and practices.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to users and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
    • U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. work authorization is required.
    • TS/SCI clearance is required for certain roles.
    • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Intune is preferred.
    • Scripting or automation experience is an advantage.
    • Experience working across both Windows and macOS environments is preferred.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
