Summary
On-site IT/application support role at a Hong Kong building materials and sanitary ware supplier. The technician handles user queries, system monitoring, reporting, server and PC network administration, and deployment testing, working mainly with SQL Server, ERP systems, Microsoft administration, and TCP/IP networking.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day application support, including handling user queries, system monitoring, and generating operational reports.
Maintain and ensure the overall health, performance, and stability of core business systems and infrastructure.
Provide basic PC, server and network troubleshooting as well as hardware and software installation.
Responsible for server administration and supporting PC network.
Provide end-user training and system administration to business applications.
Perform applications testing for system deployments/upgrades, to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or application support.
Experience in SQL server and SQL script programming is highly preferred.
Essential hands-on Excel techniques.
Knowledge of ERP systems and strong troubleshooting skills for application systems.
Practical experience in network configuration (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routers, Switches, VPN).
Strong in PC Hardware and software maintenance, networking, and standard Microsoft administration.
Good problem-solving skills, communication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
