IT System Analyst I
Position Summary:
UpSlope is seeking an IT System Analyst I to support DHS OHSS Report Automation Support Services. The position will provide hands-on support for report automation, data operations, requirements analysis, workflow improvement, system documentation, testing, stakeholder coordination, and implementation of approved technical and process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support modernization and automation of recurring and ad hoc OHSS reporting processes.
• Support data operations, databases, and data-management initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Analyze workflows and identify automation/process-improvement opportunities.
• Develop and support automated data-processing and reporting workflows.
• Use Python, Java, and SQL for data processing, database queries, automation, and integration.
• Develop/support Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Support front-end website/application interfaces for reports and data.
• Support system and user-acceptance testing.
• Perform data validation, QA, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders, technical personnel, and business users.
• Support implementation of approved technical/process improvements.
• Be available during 8:30 AM-5:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday.
• Respond to Government requests for discussion/problem resolution within 24 hours.

• Business-process/workflow analysis experience.
• SOP and technical-documentation experience.
• Hands-on Python experience.
• Hands-on Java experience.
• Hands-on SQL experience.
• Hands-on Tableau experience.
• Front-end website technology experience.
• Experience with data processing, database queries, dashboards/reporting, systems integration, or user-facing interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Federal/DHS IT experience.
• Manual/legacy reporting modernization.
• ETL/automated data pipelines.
• APIs/database integration.
• Data cleansing, validation, and QA.
• Data repositories/data warehouses.
• Reporting portals/user-facing dashboards.
• Section 508.
• Statistical, analytical, or Government reporting environments.
