About Aureus
Aureus Academy is one of the largest music schools in the region. We teach one-to-one lessons across more than 33 branches in Singapore and the UAE, and we open new ones several times a year. Thousands of students walk through our doors every week, and every one of those lessons depends on technology that must work the first time, every time.
What makes us unusual is that we build most of this technology ourselves. Rather than stitching together off-the-shelf products, we run an in-house engineering team of twenty people who build and maintain our CRM, the parent app families use to track their child's progress, the employee app our staff use, and the in-lesson app that runs in our studios.
Aureus Interactive, and why this role matters
Aureus Interactive is our technology-driven lesson experience. In our studios, the lesson runs on a stack of connected hardware and software: screens, tablets, audio, network, and our own in-lesson application working together, while a teacher and a child sit at the piano. When it works, parents see something no ordinary music school offers. When a screen doesn't wake up or an access point drops, a paying customer's lesson is affected in real time.
This is the job. You are part of a team that keeps 550+ studios of live teaching technology running. It is hands-on, visible work, with an immediate and obvious impact on the business.
What you'll be doing
· Own the full onboarding and offboarding process for staff: account creation, licensing, group and permission assignment and device provisioning
· Administer our Microsoft 365 tenant, including Entra ID, security groups, licensing, and mailbox and access management.
· Manage our fleet of Windows and macOS devices through Intune: enrolment, compliance policies, application deployment, patching, and remote troubleshooting.
· Install, configure, and maintain the hardware that runs our branches: classroom and studio IT equipment, digital signage, CCTV, wireless access points, network gear, and telephony.
· Set up hardware for new branch openings and renovations.
· Keep our asset inventory, network documentation, and configuration standards accurate and current.
· Provide L1 support to staff across all branches and head office, in person and remotely.
· Contribute to how we do things: policy baselines, standard builds, runbooks, and the security and access controls that a growing company with international operations needs.
What we're looking for
· A diploma or higher in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
· At least 2 years in IT support, systems administration, or a similar hands-on technical role.
· Solid working knowledge of Intune MDM, the Microsoft 365 admin suite, Windows, and macOS.
· Sound network fundamentals: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and the ability to diagnose a connectivity problem methodically rather than by guessing.
· Comfortable with hands-on hardware work, including mounting, cabling, and configuring equipment on site.
· Available Tuesday to Saturday and willing to travel to branches across Singapore. Saturday is one of our busiest teaching days, which is exactly why we need technical coverage on it.
· Clear communication with non-technical colleagues. Most of the people you help are music teachers and centre staff, not engineers.
What we offer
· A role with genuine ownership. Our IT team is small, so you will not be one ticket-taker among fifty. Your work is visible to the whole company.
· Direct access to an in-house engineering team. If something in our own software is causing you pain, you can walk over and talk to the people who can change it.
· Real technical breadth. Identity, endpoint management, networking, AV, physical security, and telephony, across a live multi-site operation and an expanding international footprint.
· Room to grow. As we expand, this role can develop toward senior systems administration, security and compliance, or infrastructure engineering, depending on where your interests take you.
· A company where music, teaching, and technology sit in the same building and actually talk to each other.
