About the Role
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure within a highly regulated environment and industry. You will be responsible for managing and monitoring our systems, networks and servers to guarantee optimal performance, reliability and security. You will undertake the operation, repair, maintenance and upgrades of IT and related technology, in tandem with providing best in class tier 1 and 2 IT support. This is not a desk bound role and requires someone who is comfortable blending in with the business to work in partnership with them, as opposed to for them.
Your duties will include:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software systems
- Monitoring system performance and proactively troubleshooting issues
- Managing and Maintaining Backup systems
- Maintaining a the data integrity of validated systems
- Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our systems from cyber threats
- Collaborating with other IT team members and departments to identify and address technology requirements and solutions
- Providing technical support and assistance to end users across the business
- Ensuring computer system compliance in pharmaceutical regulations such as CFR Part 11 and PIC/S Annex Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Computerised Systems requirements are continuously met
Person Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator
- In depth knowledge of on premises and cloud based system administration, including Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Client and Server Operating Systems and Microsoft cloud systems
- Ability to develop systems and procedures to support the business and operational IT processes
- Knowledge of project management techniques and experience of being involved in IT projects
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including managed switching, WAN routing, DHCP, WI-FI deployment and VPNs
