The contract runs from October to March. This is an onsite role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll be doing

  • Handle broad day-to-day systems work and technical issues, giving the wider IT team more capacity to focus on its assigned projects.
  • Manage and monitor existing and new IT systems and infrastructure, including installation, configuration, testing, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Contribute practical systems support to project activity, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting and documentation, as directed by the IT team.
  • Provide second and third level support, assist with helpdesk overflow when needed, and troubleshoot technical issues and outages.
  • Apply security patches and maintain effective security, backup and redundancy practices.
  • Improve systems availability and efficiency through proactive monitoring, continuous improvement and appropriate automation.
  • Work with internal teams, end-users, vendors and service providers to resolve issues and support technology needs across Support Office, stores and the Distribution Centre.
  • Participate in the on-call roster and travel to stores locally and nationally when required.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an experienced, self-directed systems generalist who can balance varied priorities with advanced technical support in a fast-moving environment.

  • At least five years’ experience in an IT role, with Level 3 capability and a sound understanding of general IT systems and processes.
  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a business or computing field, or an equivalent level of learning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Clear interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to guide and help users with applications.
  • A structured and disciplined approach to change control, documentation and helpdesk practices.
  • Availability to take part in the on-call roster and travel to stores locally and nationally when required.

To be successful in this role, you would have recent experience in SAP, Windows Server, Active Directory, Networking, Firewalls, Linux, Virtualisation, IT Security and Retail Experience.
