  • Storage Administration: Administer enterprise SAN/NAS systems (e.g., Dell PowerEdge storage arrays, HP, Synology RS units). Configure hardware RAID arrays, iSCSI/NFS targets, SSD storage tiers, and handle capacity planning.

  • Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain core network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN connections (e.g., Meraki, OpenVPN). Manage VLANs, subnets, routing protocols, and network segmentations to ensure high availability and security.

  • Server Administration (Windows & Linux): Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server systems alongside Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL). Automate routine system tasks via PowerShell or Bash scripts.

  • Data Center Operations: Oversee physical and virtual data center operations, including server rack layouts, cabling, power redundancy (UPS systems), backup power, environmental monitoring, and hardware lifecycle management.

  • Manufacturing Support (OT/IT Integration): Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure high uptime for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), shop-floor workstations, industrial PCs, and edge controllers on the factory floor.

  • Disaster Recovery & Backups: Implement, test, and document robust backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and retention policies to meet internal RPO and RTO objectives.

  • Security & Compliance: Apply system security hardening guidelines, run patch management routines across servers and network appliances, and assist with IT compliance audits.

  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4–7+ years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, infrastructure administration, or datacenter management.

  • Virtualization: Deep hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi (cluster management, vMotion, storage pools). Hands-on experience or active deployment capability with Proxmox VE (PVE).

  • Operating Systems: Strong command of Windows Server (2012,2016/2019/2022) administration and Linux enterprise environments (Ubuntu Server, Red Hat, Debian).

  • Storage Systems: Solid understanding of block and file storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB) and RAID configurations (RAID 1, 5, 6, 10) on enterprise hardware.

  • Networking: Proficiency in core networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN tagging, subnetting, VPN tunnels, firewall rules, routing).

  • Data Center: Direct physical server maintenance experience (rack mounting, cable management, hardware diagnostics, power redundancy).

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience and technical certifications may be considered in place of a degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Industry Experience: Background working in manufacturing, industrial processing, or high-tech engineering environments. Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) and shop-floor IT needs.

  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for system automation and audit logging.

  • Cloud & Directory Services: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID (Azure AD), and cloud hybrid networking.

  • Certifications are a plus: Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Linux+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
