IT Systems Engineer
Salary: £39,258 - 39,258 per year
Requirements:- Level 3 qualification or above in IT, Computing, Networking, or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, AZ-800, or similar, or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification
- Experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, server support, or a similar role
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft technologies
- Understanding of networking, security, backups, and system monitoring
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise server hardware, software, operating systems, and IT infrastructure
- Troubleshoot server and infrastructure issues, analyse system logs, and identify root causes
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues
- Maintain security through updates, patches, backups, and access controls
- Support the reliability, availability, and recovery of critical IT systems
- Work with the wider IT team to maintain secure, up-to-date systems

We are Wiltshire College & University Centre, based at our Trowbridge Campus with up to 2 days remote home working available. We offer a permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a salary of £39,258 per year.
