IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

1. Server Administration – Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure.

2. OS Administration – Maintain Windows/Linux servers and perform patching.

3. SQL Administration – Maintain SQL Server, databases, backups and performance.

4. Virtualization – Manage VMware/Hyper-V environments.

5. Backup & DR – Ensure reliable backup, restore and disaster recovery.

6. Monitoring – Monitor servers, services, SQL and infrastructure using PRTG or equivalent tools.

7. Security – Maintain server security, patching, access control and hardening.

8. Storage – Monitor and maintain server/SAN/NAS storage.

9. Manufacturing Systems – Support servers hosting production, MES, SCADA, IoT and monitoring applications.

10. Troubleshooting – Resolve server incidents and perform root-cause analysis.

11. Preventive Maintenance – Perform scheduled server health checks and maintenance.

12. Documentation – Maintain server architecture, SOPs, inventory and technical documentation.

13. Projects – Support server upgrades, migration, implementation and infrastructure improvement projects.

14. Vendor Management – Coordinate with hardware, software and system-integrator vendors.
