IT Systems Manager

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Previous experience within IT support, systems, infrastructure or a similar role
  • Strong general knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks and virtual machines
  • Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365
  • Ability to confidently manage day-to-day IT requirements and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT systems
  • Experience working with external IT providers or managed service providers would be advantageous
  • Previous exposure to ERP systems would be beneficial, with Epicor experience particularly advantageous
  • Manufacturing or engineering industry experience would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Sophos, BarTender, Microsoft Access or similar systems would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support our day-to-day IT systems and requirements
  • Work closely with and manage our external managed service provider
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 across the business
  • Support our IT infrastructure, including networks and virtual machines
  • Manage software licensing, renewals and IT security requirements
  • Provide internal IT support and guidance to employees
  • Support and coordinate IT and security training across the business
  • Support us with IT-related GDPR compliance
  • Manage IT budgets, suppliers and associated costs
  • Support our Epicor Kinetic ERP system and its ongoing development
  • Work alongside the existing ERP manager to develop knowledge of the system and gradually take on greater responsibility

We are recruiting an experienced IT professional for one of our key clients, an established manufacturing company near Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong day-to-day IT experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to gradually take ownership of the companys IT systems and further develop ERP knowledge. The role is full time at 35 hours per week, with core hours of 9.30am to 5.30pm and flexibility available. Benefits include a pension scheme with company contributions, private medical insurance, a rewards gateway voucher scheme, a discretionary company bonus, an excellent sick scheme and free car parking.
