Exciting opportunity to join a friendly, patient-focused radiology practice in a hands-on IT systems support role. Based primarily in Ballarat, this position supports Keystone Radiology’s clinical technology environment across Ballarat, Bendigo and Shepparton.
About Keystone Radiology
Keystone Radiology is an independently owned medical imaging provider delivering high-quality diagnostic services across regional Victoria. We operate comprehensive private outpatient clinics and work closely with regional public health networks, using modern imaging technology to support excellent patient care.
The Role
We are seeking an autonomous and highly capable IT Systems Support Specialist to help manage the technology that keeps our clinics, radiologists and clinical teams working smoothly. This is not just a password-reset role. You will support mission-critical medical imaging systems, diagnostic workstations, networks, user access and remote-reporting technology across our regional footprint.
You will be based at our Ballarat site, with travel required to our Bendigo and Shepparton clinics. (Travel and accommodation assistance will be provided.)
You will work closely with the Operations Manager, executive team, clinical staff, external IT infrastructure partner, internet providers and medical imaging vendors to ensure reliable, secure and responsive technology support.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical systems support: Maintain, troubleshoot and support core radiology applications, including Comrad RIS, InteleViewer, InteleConnect, PowerScribe and related clinical systems.
Diagnostic workstation and hardware management: Build, deploy and maintain diagnostic workstations, clinic peripherals, network hardware and multi-site technology infrastructure.
User access and identity management: Create and manage log-ins, user access, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and related business and clinical system accounts.
DICOM and imaging workflow support: Assist with InteleViewer DICOM routing, autorouting, profiles and imaging workflow troubleshooting.
Teleradiology support: Support remote-reporting radiologists with secure home-office technology, VPN access, workstation performance, connectivity and display requirements.
Escalation and vendor liaison: Act as an internal escalation point for technical issues and coordinate with external managed service providers, modality vendors and infrastructure partners.
Security and continuity: Support healthcare privacy, cyber security, data protection and system continuity requirements across Keystone Radiology sites.
About You
You will be practical, calm under pressure and confident working across both technical and non-technical teams. You will enjoy taking ownership of problems, following them through to resolution and communicating clearly with radiologists, radiographers, nurses, reception, administration and external providers.
3+ years’ experience in systems support, Tier 2 help desk, systems administration or a similar IT support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPNs, networking fundamentals and workstation support.
Experience in healthcare, radiology, MSP environments, PACS/RIS, DICOM routing or HL7 integrations will be highly regarded but is not essential as training can be provided.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to supporting busy clinical teams.
Ability to prioritise competing support requests and work autonomously across multiple sites.
Current Australian driver’s licence and flexibility to travel regularly to Bendigo and Shepparton.
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network or similar credentials would be well regarded.
What We Offer
A stable, supportive, welcoming and clinically focused team environment.
Modern clinical technology and a varied medical imaging environment.
The opportunity to take genuine ownership of an internal IT environment.
A role where your work directly supports patient care and healthcare delivery across regional communities.
