Discussion

The IT Technical Support Specialist provides day-to-day technology support to faculty and staff across all four Gilbert Christian Schools campuses. This position helps ensure that technology issues are resolved promptly and effectively, minimizing disruptions to classroom instruction and school operations.

Responsibilities include supporting classroom displays, computers, Chromebooks, printers and copiers, user accounts, phones, staff badges, and other technology used throughout the school. The position also assists with troubleshooting, equipment setup, and general technology needs for faculty and staff.

This is an entry-level position, and a college degree is not required. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with technology, patient and helpful when working with others, and eager to learn. Training will be provided for the systems, equipment, and processes specific to Gilbert Christian Schools.

The IT Technical Support Specialist is also expected to develop proficiency in AI tools and apply them appropriately to everyday responsibilities to improve efficiency, problem-solving, and productivity. This position will also help faculty and staff become more comfortable and effective in using AI tools in their work.

Regular travel between GCS campuses is part of this position; therefore, a valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Occasional evening or after-hours support may also be necessary for chapels, assemblies, special events, and other school activities.
