About the School:

A well-equipped secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking an IT Technician to join its technical support team.

The successful candidate will provide first-line technical assistance to staff and pupils and help maintain reliable technology across classrooms, offices, and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to staff and pupils.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

• Set up computers, laptops, tablets, and other devices.

• Support interactive displays, projectors, printers, and classroom technology.

• Assist with user accounts, passwords, and access issues.

• Install and update approved software.

• Maintain and organise IT equipment.

• Log support requests and ensure issues are followed through.

• Assist with basic network troubleshooting.

• Escalate complex technical issues where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Previous IT support or technician experience.

• Good understanding of computer hardware and software.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.

• Patient and professional approach.

• Strong organisational skills.

• Experience within an education environment would be advantageous.
