IT Support Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for end users. This role serves as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, supporting workstations, mobile devices, production-floor technology, and business systems while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests received via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person interactions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues involving:
- Desktops and laptops
- Tablets and mobile devices
- Monitors and docking stations
- Printers and scanners
- Telephony equipment
- Barcode scanners and handheld devices
- Image, configure, deploy, and refresh end-user computing devices according to established standards.
- Set up technology equipment for new hires and support equipment replacement projects.
- Receive, track, asset-tag, inventory, and stage hardware for deployment.
- Process dated equipment and support technology lifecycle management activities.
- Install approved software applications, updates, and device drivers.
- Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting, including:
- Cable and port verification
- Wireless connectivity support
- Connectivity testing
- Escalation of advanced networking issues
- Support production-floor and warehouse technology, including shared-use devices and operational systems.
- Troubleshoot conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, digital displays, and workplace collaboration tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and asset records.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot common end-user technology issues.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and support processes.
- Ability to work in both office and production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Help Desk, Service Desk, Technical Support, or IT Support experience.
- Experience imaging and deploying computers.
- Familiarity with hardware inventory and asset management processes.
- Exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, or production-support environments.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
