A busy secondary school in Watford is seeking an IT Technician to provide technical assistance across its classrooms, administrative offices, and wider school facilities.

The successful candidate will help ensure staff and pupils have reliable access to technology throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

• Set up and configure computers and laptops.

• Support classroom technology and interactive displays.

• Assist with user accounts and password issues.

• Install approved software and updates.

• Maintain IT equipment and peripherals.

• Support printers and audiovisual equipment.

• Log and monitor technical support requests.

• Escalate complex issues where necessary.

Requirements:

• Previous IT support or technician experience.

• Good understanding of hardware and software.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to work calmly under pressure.

• Strong organisational abilities.

• Education-sector experience would be advantageous.
