Job Description

The IT Software Engineer - Band 1 is a key member of our IT Engineering team. This role is responsible for translating system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product or application. The IT Software Engineer will develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed and will implement code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product or application.
  • Develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed.
  • Implement code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.
  • Work closely with product and operations teams for systems/services the software integrates with.
  • Play a role in architecture design of the application where applicable/appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required.
