IT & Workplace Operations Manager
Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for an IT & Workplace Operations Manager for one of our partners, a leading Digital Bank!
THE ROLE
You lead the function that keeps people productive, connected and supported. From devices and accounts to collaboration tools and everyday technical help, your team shapes how technology feels to every colleague. You will build a workplace service that is secure, responsive and easy to use, with clear ownership, automated processes and support that fixes underlying problems rather than repeatedly treating symptoms.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead the IT Service Desk, providing effective L1 support, incident resolution and request fulfilment across the bank.
- Own the digital workplace across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, workforce identity and collaboration services.
- Operate Microsoft 365, Teams, email and related workplace platforms for security, availability and effective adoption.
- Automate routine support and provisioning processes, enabling self-service where appropriate and reducing unnecessary manual work.
- Coordinate joiner, mover and leaver processes so colleagues receive the correct access and equipment at the right time.
- Set service levels, monitor user experience and use ticket trends, feedback and recurring issues to drive improvement.
- Ensure workplace technology is securely configured and operated in line with access, endpoint, data-protection and compliance requirements.
- Manage device lifecycle, software distribution, asset records and workplace technology vendors.
- Lead, coach and develop the support team, creating a service culture built around accountability, empathy and continuous improvement.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 7+ years in workplace technology, IT service management, service desk or end-user computing, including team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL incident, request, problem and service-level management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, Entra ID and endpoint-management platforms such as Intune or SCCM.
- Experience automating workplace processes and improving services through data, feedback and root-cause analysis.
- A sound understanding of identity, endpoint security, access control and device lifecycle management.
- Financial-services experience is valuable but not essential.
YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU
- You believe good IT operation and workplace support is invisible, and you take pride in making it so
- You’d rather fix the pattern and automate repetitive work than close the ticket
- You’d rather fix the root cause than reset the same password twice
- You treat access as a security matter, never a convenience
- You care about colleague experience and a new joiner’s first day works
