Job Description
ITSO Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall planning, implementation, and management of the organization’s IT systems and services. The role ensures the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of all technology infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, and information systems. The ITSO Manager leads the technical team, sets IT policies and standards, manages projects and budgets, and aligns technology initiatives with organizational goals. Additionally, the position ensures data security, system integrity, and continuous improvement of IT services to support academic and administrative functions.
Job Qualifications
Master's degree in a Science and Technology or Engineering Field
Possesses a broad understanding of all intellectual property regimes including copyrights, industrial property and plant variety protection
Must have completed formal training on Intellectual Property Rights, with a specific focus on Patent Drafting
Minimum of 1-year experience in intellectual property administration
Preferably, has managerial experience within a tertiary academic institution
Must be familiar with the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (R.A. 8293, as amended by R.A. 10372) and the Technology Transfer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 10055)
