We are looking for a Senior Service Delivery & Transition Manager for our O&M/BOO/Performance Chemicals business. The Senior Service Delivery & Transition Manager will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.
Role Overview:
Lead the transition of awarded O&M, BOO and Performance Chemicals contracts into stable service delivery across North America, South America and Europe. Reporting directly to Vladimir Sadetsky, with a dotted line to the VP of Mobile Water, this role coordinates the people, contractual obligations, schedules and resources needed to deliver Aquatech’s commitments to customers.
Primary accountability begins after award and continues through mobilization, coordination with commissioning and startup teams, stabilization and formal handover to the appropriate operational owner. For O&M contracts, this includes handover to the Field Service Director. During bidding, the role provides input at the Bid Manager’s request.
The role initially has no direct reports and requires strong leadership across a large matrix organization, including engineering, projects, field operations, chemicals, contracts, legal, HSE and quality. Direct reports may be added as the business grows.
The successful candidate combines strong contractual judgment with disciplined project management and effective people leadership. Customers and internal teams know who owns each action, commitments are translated into practical plans, costs and changes remain visible, and will receive a prepared operation with a documented handover. Success is measured by readiness, delivery against agreed milestones and budgets, timely resolution of issues and continuity of customer support.
Job Description:
Job duties include the following and are not limited to:
- Own integrated transition plans for O&M, BOO and Performance Chemicals contracts, including milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, resource commitments and readiness requirements across multiple projects.
- Lead cross-functional teams spanning Application Engineering, Projects, Commissioning and Startup, O&M, Performance Chemicals, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Contracts, HSE and Quality. Secure commitments, resolve competing priorities and drive actions to closure through influence and accountability.
- Review awarded contracts with the Bid Manager and Contracts team. Translate scope, exclusions, customer obligations, performance requirements, acceptance conditions and key dates into an executable delivery plan.
- Serve as the principal customer contact during transition. Lead progress discussions, manage expectations, document decisions and resolve or escalate issues promptly.
- Coordinate staffing, recruitment, training, site readiness and operating procedures with the Field Service Director and relevant operational leaders. Functional leaders retain responsibility for their personnel and technical execution.
- Coordinate BOO operational readiness with the VP of Mobile Water, Projects and Operations, including equipment availability, commissioning interfaces, operating resources, acceptance requirements and the start of contracted service.
- Coordinate chemicals program startup with the Performance Chemicals team and service partners, including chemical supply, dosing and monitoring equipment, technical support, customer training and service arrangements.
- Track mobilization and transition budgets, actual costs, commitments and forecasts across all three businesses with Finance and the relevant commercial teams. Identify variances and corrective actions within the assigned scope; responsibility does not extend to the overall EPC project budget.
- Manage scope changes and contractual issues with Legal, Contracts and the Bid Manager. Document cost and schedule impacts and secure required approvals before making customer commitments.
- Maintain risk, issue and action registers. Coordinate specialist review of technical, HSE and quality requirements and escalate readiness gaps before they affect startup or service delivery.
- Establish readiness and handover criteria with Projects, the receiving operational team and the customer, as applicable. Verify documentation, training, operating information and ownership of outstanding actions before handover.
- Lead transition coordination through stabilization, then formally transfer ongoing delivery and customer relationship responsibilities to the designated operational owner. For O&M contracts, this will be the Field Service Director.
- Provide bid-stage input at the Bid Manager’s request on mobilization assumptions, schedules, resources and delivery risks. Develop reusable transition plans, checklists and lessons learned to improve future execution.
- Other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:
- Strong contract-management capability, including interpretation of obligations, scope control, change management, risk identification and coordination of commercial issues with Legal and Contracts.
- Demonstrated success managing projects from award through mobilization, startup, stabilization or operational handover, including schedules, costs and resource dependencies.
- Proven people leadership in a large matrix organization: ability to influence functional leaders, secure resources, hold contributors accountable and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Excellent customer communication, negotiation, judgment and follow-through, with the ability to manage several projects and competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of industrial operations and the ability to engage technical specialists and challenge unclear assumptions. Water-treatment, wastewater and performance chemicals expertise is preferred, but not required.
