About the Role:

The Janitor position in Thomasville, GA, is essential for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of commercial buildings and surrounding grounds. This role ensures that all janitorial duties are performed efficiently, including cleaning, waste disposal, and upkeep of stainless steel surfaces and other materials. Ultimately, this role supports a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients by adhering to established safety procedures and performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy weights.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in janitorial duties within commercial buildings.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to janitorial.
• Ability to count and log inventory of cleaning/janitorial supplies.
• Able to bend repeatedly.
• Able to stand on feet for extended periods.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Able to grip/grasp comfortably for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining stainless steel surfaces.
• Certification in workplace safety or OSHA training.
• Previous experience working in a commercial building environment

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning restrooms and common areas within commercial buildings.
• Maintain and polish stainless steel surfaces to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
• Safely load, unload, and transport cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
• Lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies in accordance with safety guidelines.

Skills:
