Janitor (San Francisco)

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampooing carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Also completing Special Projects as needed.

• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces
• Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment
• Steam-clean carpets
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
• Mix various cleaning agents
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants
• Clean, wash and disinfect chutes
• Clean & wash the front street entrances
• Clean & vacuum lobbies
• Vacuum floors
• Sweep garage
• Pressure wash/sweep/blow courtyard
• Clean fountain
• Clean laundry rooms
• Clean & mop fire escape/emergency stairs
• Clean Elevators
• Clean Atriums/Foyers
• Take out recycling and trash bins
• Help load trash onto Mosser truck
• Remove garbage trash compactors
• Wash recycle and trash bins
• Clean offices
• Clean break-room
• Clean and disinfect elevators
• Clean and Power wash exterior of buildings
• Gardening/ landscaping projects
• Apartment Cleaning as necessary
• Clean planter boxes
• Report needed supplies to management
• Assist with weekly/monthly/quarterly cleaning
• Assist in training new staff as needed
• Complete special projects as needed
