Job Title: Custodian

Department: Operations/Facilities/Maintenance

Reports To: Facilities Manager/Supervisor

Job Summary: As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for our employees and clients. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, address specific maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors, using appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Maintain and clean common areas, hallways, and lobbies.

Maintenance:

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers.

Safety:

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all occupants.
• Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred, but not required.

Skills:

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
