Janitorial / Facility Maintenance Technician

Position Description

As a Janitorial / Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of our PCB manufacturing facility in Brea, CA. The primary focus of this position is performing daily janitorial and housekeeping duties throughout the facility, with additional responsibilities supporting general building maintenance and minor repairs.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in janitorial services and basic facility maintenance, with the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of manufacturing floors, production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and sanitize floors and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
• Empty trash and recycling containers, dispose of non-hazardous waste, and replenish restroom and janitorial supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of building entrances, walkways, parking areas, and exterior grounds.
• Perform scheduled deep cleaning and maintain janitorial equipment, supplies, and storage areas.
• Follow established cleaning and safety procedures when working around manufacturing equipment, chemical processing areas, and sensitive materials.
• Support workplace housekeeping and initiatives to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Perform minor building maintenance and repairs, including painting, drywall patching, basic plumbing, and fixture replacements.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or necessary repairs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and general upkeep of building systems and equipment.
• Support maintenance personnel and outside contractors with facility repairs and improvement projects as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Perform other janitorial and facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of janitorial, custodial, or general facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience performing basic building repairs and general facility upkeep.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and janitorial equipment.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, and fixture maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, hand tools, and basic power tools.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily cleaning schedules, and prioritize assignments.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds, with assistance or mechanical aids when necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
