Janitorial Worker Part-Time

Hours: Sundays 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Thursday | 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Reports to: Pastor
Projected Start Date: July 15, 2026

Position Summary
The Janitorial Worker is responsible for the general care, cleanliness and basic upkeep of the parish facilities, including the church, Divine Mercy Chapel, Parish Office, St. Ann Hall, Goertz Hall, Catechetical Center, and Parish Rectory. This role requires familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility, always in support of the parish's mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and care for assigned areas including dusting, and polishing of furniture, equipment and other fixtures
- Sanitize pews, chairs, and kneelers
- Clean all building floors (sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming)
- Polish, seal, and strip floors as needed
- Clean all windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Clean and resupply restrooms
- Gather and empty trash bins
- Check grounds for litter/garbage and unsafe conditions
- Stock and maintain all custodial supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner including, paper, toiletries, lighting cleaning chemicals and other supplies
- Identify and report building and ground issues in need of repair or attention to Parish administrator or designated supervisor.
