To take our approach to tailor-made travel even further, we are now developing our own local agencies in key destinations. It’s a way to stay as close as possible to the ground and to our travellers, and to fully embody our vision of tailor-made, human and authentic travel.
As part of the development of our Japan agency, we are looking for a Tailor-Made Travel Designer specialising in Japan, dedicated to our English-speaking clientele.
Based in Japan, you are a salesperson at heart: you imagine, shape and orchestrate exceptional itineraries that reflect the wishes of your English-speaking clients, sharing the very best experiences the destination has to offer.
You know the iconic landscapes, the hidden gems, the logistical realities, the cultural dynamics and the subtleties that make a trip successful. You master the art of tailor-made travel, active listening, and offering those little extras that make all the difference and turn a well-planned trip into an unforgettable experience.
From first contact to the client’s return, you manage the entire customer journey. You hold an in-depth phone conversation to understand their wishes, pace and budget, then design bespoke itineraries that you refine down to the smallest detail. You handle full coordination (design, bookings, logistics) with a strong sense of service and constant attention to the quality of the client relationship.
Conditions:
Full-time local contract
Location: Japan
Salary: fixed + performance-based variable pay
Work from our Tokyo office ou 100% remote in other cities
Holding a valid work permit is mandatory.
Proven experience in the travel industry (tailor-made agency, DMC, tour operator…);
In-depth knowledge of Japan ;
A genuine sales mindset, a taste for challenge and performance, and the drive to turn every project into a successful client experience;
A refined approach to client relations, with excellent listening and communication skills;
A high level of autonomy, organisation and attention to detail;
Full professional fluency in English is essential and Japanese is a plus ;
Valid local work authorisation.
