- 9:00/10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, depending on operational requirements

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join a professional Japanese fine-dining kitchen at Dempsey Hill. Candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and established kitchen standards.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen workstations, storage areas and equipment.
- Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies when required.
- Receive, check and store deliveries according to food safety procedures.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior kitchen or Japanese restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates without relevant experience may apply, as training will be provided.
- Comfortable working in a disciplined and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good awareness of cleanliness, food hygiene and workplace safety.
- Positive attitude, hardworking, reliable and willing to learn.
- Able to work according to the assigned roster.
