Japanese Speaking IT Governance & Security Manager/Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead IT governance, risk management, and internal control initiatives across overseas group companies.
• Assess and enhance IT governance frameworks, policies, and operational controls.
• Conduct IT governance reviews, control effectiveness evaluations, and operational assessments.
• Identify governance gaps, security vulnerabilities, and operational risks, and recommend practical remediation measures.
• Drive the implementation of governance, compliance, and information security improvement initiatives.
• Perform IT security assessments and evaluate existing security controls and risk management practices.
• Develop, review, and implement information security policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
• Monitor remediation progress and promote consistent governance and security standards across regional entities.
• Collaborate with local management teams, IT stakeholders, and overseas business units.
• Coordinate regional IT governance, security, and risk management projects.
• Present assessment findings, recommendations, and project updates to senior management.

Requirements

• Experience in Systems Integration (SI), management consulting, IT consulting, or in-house IT environments.
• Proven experience as a Project Leader, Project Manager, IT Governance professional, IT Infrastructure specialist, or Information Security professional.
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • IT financial management and investment governance.
  • IT risk management and internal controls.
  • Information security policy development and implementation.
  • IT governance assessments, monitoring, and improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading IT system implementation, IT infrastructure modernization, or information security projects.
• Practical knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, IT General Controls (ITGC), NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
• Experience working with overseas subsidiaries or cross-border IT initiatives is an added advantage.
• Experience collaborating with senior management and multicultural teams is an added advantage.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English for liaising with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and international teams across overseas group companies.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience evaluating risks, controls, and governance effectiveness.
