Java Architect

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead solution and technical architecture for complex enterprise applications and products, ensuring scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams across analysis, design, development, testing and deployment, with hands-on involvement in critical POCs and implementations.
• Define architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Cloud, Databases and DevOps, applying OOAD, SOLID, Design Patterns and Domain Driven Design.
• Lead architecture/design reviews, define architecture standards, evaluate third-party technologies and drive technology modernization.
• Guide teams on AWS/Azure cloud architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native
  development.
• Identify technical debt and recommend appropriate modernization and transformation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to Architects, Tech Leads and development
  teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Project Management, Security and DevOps teams and communicate technical risks and architecture decisions effectively.
• Evaluate and guide the adoption of AI/Generative AI within products and enterprise applications.
• Design/guide solutions involving LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, Embeddings, AI Agents and LLM APIs, including integration with Java/Spring Boot and cloud applications.

Required Skills:

1. 14+ years of software engineering experience with strong Solution / Technical Architecture experience.
2. Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems.
3. Strong knowledge of OOAD, Design Patterns, DDD, scalability, performance and application security.
4. Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure; AWS/Azure certification is mandatory.
5. Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM/Bicep.
6. Strong database experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
7. Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and Git.
8. Practical AI/GenAI experience with broad knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases and AI Agents.
9. Excellent technical leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
