Java Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior technical professional to drive solution architecture and design for enterprise applications built using Java technologies. The role involves defining technical direction, evaluating solution approaches, and ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Own the technical design and architecture of enterprise applications developed using Java and Spring Boot.
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical solutions, architecture blueprints, and implementation guidelines.
Define microservices architecture, service boundaries, inter-service communication, and integration patterns.
Establish standards for Java development, API implementation, application security, and reusable software components.
Review solution proposals and technical designs to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines.
Guide engineering teams on complex Java development challenges, design decisions, and implementation approaches.
Drive REST API development and integration between internal applications and external platforms.
Evaluate application performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and maintainability, recommending appropriate architectural improvements.
Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to streamline build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
Provide architectural support during production incidents, technical troubleshooting, and application modernization initiatives.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and enterprise application development.
Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed application design.
Proficiency in RESTful APIs, API integration, and service-oriented design principles.
Experience in technical architecture, solution design, design reviews, and technology governance.
Strong understanding of Java design patterns, object-oriented programming, application security, and performance optimization.
Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Excellent technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Good to Have
Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based application deployment.
Experience with Kafka, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven microservices.
Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and automated infrastructure provisioning.
TOGAF or relevant cloud architecture certifications.
Experience leading enterprise-scale Java application transformation projects.
