We are hiring Java Developers for a leading global tech company's team in London. This is an opportunity to build and run customer-facing applications used by millions of people, owning services end to end from design through deployment and production support.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain scalable backend services in Java and Spring Boot
- Design and work with microservices and distributed systems
- Take end-to-end ownership of your services, including monitoring, deployment and production support
- Handle live incidents, root cause analysis and postmortems
- Write high-quality production and test code, and refactor with good design patterns
- Work closely with product, engineering and other teams on design and prioritisation
What we're looking for
- 3-5 years of backend development experience
- Strong Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with customer-facing applications
- Production ownership: monitoring, deployments, incident handling
- Good communication skills and a quality-first mindset
