Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend services — RESTful and streaming APIs — for a Singapore technology consulting firm whose clients are major banks. Day to day: coding, peer code/design reviews, translating requirements with BAs and PMs, and rotational deployment/release work using Git, Jenkins and other DevOps tooling.
- Develop and maintain backend applications usingCore JAVA, SpringBoot, restful and streaming based Api servers.
- Collaborate closely with other back-end developers to implement seamlessclient-server API interactionson the Web UI. Also, participate inpeer code and design reviewsto ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Work alongsideBusiness AnalystsandProject Managersto translate requirements into functional features.
Handlecode deployments, releases, and other operational tasks on a rotational basis, with a strong emphasis onautomation and continuous improvementof the build and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in modern Java and unit and integration testing frameworks (Junit etc)
- Familiarity with agent-based coding assistant tools is a plus.
- Comfortable using tools such asBitbucket (Git),Jira, andConfluence.
- Experience in Linux, shell scripting etc, security ascepcs , SQL based Databases.
- DevOps (Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, Artifactory)
- Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Financial domain experience is optional, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
