Java Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong Java expertise and hands-on experience with Redis and PostgreSQL. The role requires strong system design and architecture capabilities, with a focus on building scalable, secure, reliable and production-ready applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java.
• Contribute to system design and architecture for large-scale production applications.
• Design solutions that scale effectively with increasing traffic, workload and data volume.
• Build and optimize caching and high-performance data access solutions using Redis.
• Design, optimize and manage relational data solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Analyze real-time production scenarios, identify bottlenecks and implement reliable technical solutions.
• Improve application reliability, availability, fault tolerance and overall production readiness.
• Work closely with infrastructure, DevOps and application teams to manage end-to-end system behavior.
• Identify application and system security risks and implement appropriate preventive and mitigation measures.
• Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, incident resolution and continuous improvement of production systems.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on backend development experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of system design, software architecture and large-scale/distributed application design.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, including caching strategies, data structures and performance optimization.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience, including database design, SQL optimization, indexing and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of scalability, high availability, reliability, concurrency and production system performance.
• Experience designing, deploying and supporting production-grade applications.
• Good understanding of infrastructure concepts, deployment environments and application-to-infrastructure interactions.
• Strong knowledge of application security principles, secure coding and handling common application attacks.
• Strong scenario-based problem-solving, troubleshooting and technical decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD environments.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, logging and production incident management.
• Knowledge of API security, authentication/authorization and performance engineering.
• Experience mentoring developers or contributing to architecture and engineering standards.
