Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices on AWS. The role involves technical design, code and security reviews, production troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong backend engineering skills, hands-on AWS experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrate ownership, and support team members in solving complex technical problems.
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and debug microservices using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, REST APIs, and related technologies.
- Create high-level and low-level designs, including component and sequence diagrams, API specifications, database schemas, and technology choices.
- Build and maintain applications using AWS services, containerized workloads, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Conduct code, architecture, and security reviews to ensure code quality, application security, and alignment with product requirements.
- Troubleshoot production incidents involving microservices, authentication, authorization, databases, Elasticsearch, and related application components.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical decisions clearly, and help team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Requirements :
- 5 - 8 years of relevant backend development experience, including at least 6 years of experience building scalable cloud-native applications where applicable.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, REST APIs, microservices, web services, and web frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, KMS, EC2, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, API Gateway, VPC, and load balancers.
- Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of cloud security, privacy, compliance, and secure application development.
- Experience with Splunk or Datadog APM, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools; Azure DevOps knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with a collaborative mindset, transparency, adaptability, and ownership.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge of Golang, React, OAuth, and SCIM is an added advantage.
