Java Backend Developer Spring Boot - OpenShift

About the role

At Metrica, we are looking for a Java Backend Developer with at least 6 years of experience to develop backend services with microservices architecture in cloud environments.

If you have experience with Java, Spring Boot, and OpenShift, and are looking for an opportunity in a remote modality with an indefinite contract, we want to meet you.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Implement and consume REST APIs.
• Deploy and operate applications in OpenShift environments.
• Collaborate with frontend teams using Angular to ensure the correct integration of services.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Analyze incidents and propose improvements in performance, security, and scalability.
• Work with Oracle and SQL databases.
• Manage Docker containers.
• Apply agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Use Git for version control.

What we're looking for

• At least 6 years of experience in backend development with Java.
• Solid knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Docker containers and OpenShift platforms.
• Git management.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies: Scrum and Kanban.
• Minimum English level B2.

Nice to have

• Experience in frontend development with Angular.
• Knowledge of CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Experience in cloud environments, especially AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of Spark on platforms such as Databricks, Cloudera, or AWS.
