What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java Spring Boot / Quarkus
- Build and maintain microservices architecture for scalability and maintainability
- Develop REST and SOAP APIs and integrate with enterprise systems
- Integrate databases using ORM frameworks
- Develop and maintain messaging services using JMS and Solace
- Ensure API connectivity using platforms such as Kong or Axway
- Manage dependencies and build processes using Maven
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on OpenShift and AWS
- Utilise Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD pipelines and project management
- Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit and conduct integration testing
- Document APIs using Swagger and perform performance testing using JMeter
- Champion Agile practices and coach team members on best practices
- Collaborate with upstream TP systems, integration, modelling, DBA, messaging, and architecture teams
- Conduct Code Analysis, Debugging, System Thinking, and Log Analysis
What We're Looking For
Must Haves
- 10+ years of experience in microservice API development using Java frameworks
- Deep expertise in Java Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Strong experience in cloud‑native microservices and API‑first design
- Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), SKE, and OpenShift
- Strong database experience – PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar
- Knowledge of API security – OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secrets management
- Experience with JMS, Solace, Kong or Axway messaging and API platforms
- Proven experience delivering regulatory, risk, or compliance‑driven projects in BFSI
- Strong leadership, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Familiarity with GenAI or Agentic AI tools
- Experience building FaaS and Dev‑in‑a‑box platforms
- Hands‑on with Observability tools – AppDynamics, ElasticAPM, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack
- Deep understanding of Agile at scale and enterprise DevOps practices
- Experience with Hibernate, Apache Struts
- Knowledge of WebSocket, JSON, XML
- Experience with both Relational and NoSQL databases
