Java Backend Engineer (with Angular)

Develops and maintains Java-based payment systems with Angular frontends, migrating legacy apps to cloud and adopting DevOps practices in a hybrid work setup.

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Analyze, design and implement innovative web applications and services in a service-oriented architecture
- Participation in migrating the team’s products to the cloud environment.
- Participation in the team’s adoption of DevOps practices
- Support internal stakeholders with problems and advise on appropriate solutions
- Support international test teams

- Web/Micro Service development with (mainly) REST and SOAP
- Experience with Spring Boot and associated APIs
- Experience in JEE web application development
- Experience in Jira and Confluence
- Practical basic SQL experience
- Basic Knowledge of Linux OS (shell scripting)
- Experience of software development in agile-based teams
- Experience of the Eclipse and/or Intellij IDEs
- Familarity with CI/CD pipeline-based development, containerization and their associated tools (Gitlab CI, Maven, Nexus, Docker).
- Unit test development with JUnit or similar test frameworks.
- Writing technical documentation.
- Tomcat, JBoss.
- Knowledge of enterprise application security standards, for example OWASP.
