Java Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional with strong experience in Java, Databricks, and Data and Analytics to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable applications, integrating enterprise systems, and supporting analytics platforms while working in an offshore model aligned with EST hours.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java technologies.
• Work extensively on Databricks for data engineering, transformation, and analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Ensure high-quality coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Support production environments during EST business hours.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of IT experience in software development and data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in: Java / J2EE, Databricks, Data and Analytics
• Good understanding of APIs, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience working with SQL and large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in an offshore EST support model.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Spark, Python, or data visualisation tools is an added advantage.
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
