We are looking for a highly experienced Java Engineer.
The successful candidate will collaborate within a dedicated SWAT Team focused on proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving complex business and technical challenges across the program landscape. We are specifically looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong track record of solving complex problems in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cooperate within SWAT Team, providing expertise in resolving critical business and technical issues.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to remove blockers and accelerate delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and expert-level guidance within the assigned domain.
- Support architectural discussions, integration initiatives, and modernization efforts.
- Drive best practices across software development, DevOps, and operational excellence.
- Leverage AI-enabled approaches and tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Profile:
- Demonstrable experience of Java and frameworks commonly used in Java projects
- Strong communication skills
- Be an expert (SME) in their technical domain.

Skills and attributes for success:
- 6+ years of commercial experience with web-based application creation in Java and Frontend
- Practical experience with Java 25 and Spring Boot
- Experience working with REST APIs and SOAP-based integrations with external providers
- Knowledge of databases, SQL and SQL Server
- Experience with Source Code Management, GitHub, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and automated deployment
- Azure (Experience, Cosmos DB, Application Insights, DevOps)
- Experience applying AI tools and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Practical experience with Angular or React.JS (preferred both)
- Very good English (spoken and written)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Guidewire platforms
- Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage
- Hands-on experience working with microservices architecture
- Certificates proving certain skills: Java, Spring, SQL, AWS or Azure Cloud
- Jutro Digital Platform (JDP)
