About the Role:
The Regulatory Reporting Development Team is currently looking for a Java Developer with experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle Database, AWS Cloud based solutions, and SOAP/Restful Web Services. Responsibilities will primarily include new functionality releases, development of enhancements, and contribution to system releases and third-level support as required. The position will be based in our Charlotte, NC office and may require some international travel to other Citco locations.
This position reports to the IT Development Lead, situated in Charlotte. Regulatory Reporting Development is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications that support the Fund Services division of Citco. The developer will interact additionally with business analysts, service desk staff and other technical staff.
Job Duties in Brief:
- Development in multiple modules and architectures, according to development best practices and current development technologies
- Contribution to automated build process
- Systems documentation and knowledge base management for support efficiencies
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
- Design and conduct tests
- Develop new applications that serve existing software systems
- Further develop current software
- Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

About You:
- 3 – 5 years Java application development experience
- Proficient in Javascript (AngularJS, NodeJS, and EXTJS)
- Experience in designing and developing web-based java applications to support business requirements and projects
- Experience with test-driven development
- Proficient with APIs and service oriented architectures
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines
- Can resolve technical issues through debugging, research and investigation
- Comfortable working with agile methodology and tools
- A team player who is effective working independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and SOAP/RESTful Services
- Familiarity with build tools such as Ant and Maven
- Experience with AWS Cloud (IAM Roles, Cloud Components, Cloud Stack Formation, etc)
- Exposure to Liferay Portal/Portlet framework
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
