Build and maintain risk technology for Rates and FX trading using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, ensuring low-latency and resilient systems.
Team/Role Overview
Risk Technology is focused on delivering solutions to the Rates Trading desks. This team develops and maintains a complete suite of risk technology solutions for both the Rates and FX (including Derivatives) businesses. This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to different asset classes in a Tier1 investment bank working with a global team with a client base spanning 70+ countries.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control all phases of development, including analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
- Recommend and develop security measures in post‑implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
- Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist with customer exposure systems.
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
- Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement.
- Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets; drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour and business practices, and raise, manage and report control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 5‑8 years of experience in modern Java development with strong Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Excellent understanding of distributed system design, data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with high availability, resiliency and low‑latency applications (a plus).
- Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK and SQL (a big plus).
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
Salary
Salary Range: 189 660,00zł – 322 940,00zł
