Java Developer/DevOps Engineer
Summary
ITech Consult AG is seeking an experienced Java engineer to join an existing DevOps team in the Client Channels/eBanking division in Zurich for 24 months, shaping customer-facing digital banking services. Day to day: hands-on Java backend/full-stack development (Spring, JEE, JPA, Angular, Oracle) plus production operations, DevOps support and deployments.
Project: We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer for an existing DevOps team in the Client Channels / eBanking division, who will play an active role in shaping the further development and operation of customer-focused digital services. Start date: 1 November 2026, full-time in Zurich for 24 months. The core of the role is a combination of hands‑on Java software development, responsibility for production operations and DevOps support.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing features and business requirements in complex eBanking services
- Developing Java-based backend and full-stack solutions
- Ensuring the stable operation of the developed services, as well as providing production support and carrying out DevOps tasks
- Analysing and resolving production issues and technical faults
- Collaborating on the creation and further development of solution architectures
- Supporting deployments and the technical advancement of development and operational processes
- Contributing new technical and methodological ideas to the further development of the services
- Working within a self-organised, interdisciplinary DevOps team
Requirements
- Several years’ solid experience in professional Java software development
- Very good knowledge of Spring, JEE and JPA
- Experience with Angular, ideally within the last five years
- Good knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL
- Experience in the development and operation of internet-facing services
- Experience with production support or DevOps responsibilities
- Experience with customer-facing digital services or client channels in the banking/finance sector would be an advantage
- Experience with complex backend architectures and an interest in solution architecture
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
- Excellent command of German at C2 level
- An independent, team-oriented and responsible approach to work
- Confident manner and strong communication skills
