Java Developer

Role: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Toronto, ON(Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)

Type: Contract

Rate: CAD50/hr - CAD55/hr

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development using Java Spring Boot/Microservices, frontend development with Angular and/or Node.js, and experience working with modern cloud-native architectures. This role requires collaboration within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while leveraging DevOps and automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and/or Node.js.
• Build and integrate scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design discussions, and solution implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop, deploy, and support cloud-based applications using AWS, Azure, or OpenShift platforms.
• Implement and maintain containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub Actions and related DevOps practices.
• Ensure application quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production applications using observability and monitoring tools.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and automation capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Full Stack Application Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture
• Angular and/or Node.js
• RESTful API design and development
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using source control and automated deployment tools.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, application security, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools.
• Experience with application monitoring and logging platforms.
• Knowledge of scalable distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation best practices.
