Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement application components based on functional and technical specifications.

• Build and maintain web applications, APIs, and system integrations.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and development best practices.

• Analyze technical requirements, system specifications, data models, and integration needs.

• Perform testing, troubleshoot production issues, and provide Level 3 application support.

• Participate in production deployment, hypercare, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to improve application performance and delivery efficiency.

• Support technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and guidance for fellow developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT development, preferably in enterprise-level Java or full-stack projects.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.

• Experience with JavaScript (ES6+), ReactJS or equivalent frontend frameworks, and SQL.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, microservices, and system integration.

• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Ant, CI/CD tools, and code review practices.

• Experience in application deployment, production support, and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of Waterfall methodology; Agile experience is an advantage.

• Banking or financial services experience is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Batch, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

• Exposure to JasperReports, XML, shell scripting, and automated deployment processes.

• Familiarity with .NET frameworks.
