JAVA DEVELOPER
Summary
A Java developer role implementing and supporting a new core banking system (Finacle or TCS BaNCS): configuring and customizing modules, translating business requirements into technical solutions, building API/middleware and batch integrations, and supporting testing, migrations, and production issues while growing into an SME. Stack: Java, Spring Boot, SQL/Oracle, REST/SOAP, Linux.
About the role
Responsible for learning, configuring, enhancing, integrating, and supporting the new core banking system while working closely with business users, technology teams, implementation partners, and vendors. Over time, the role will evolve into a subject matter expert (SME) position responsible for platform stability, enhancements, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer to the broader support organization.
Key responsibilities
Develop, configure, customize, and support Finacle or TCS BaNCS modules
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the core banking platform
Perform system configuration, parameterization, and product setup
Support end-to-end system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, incidents, and production issues
Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on platform-related concerns
Design and develop integrations between the core banking platform and peripheral banking applications
Support API, middleware, batch processing, and interface development
Participate in data migration and conversion activities
Acquire deep functional and technical knowledge of the new core banking solution
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of software development experience
At least 5 years of experience supporting, implementing, or developing either TCS BaNCS, Infosys Finacle, or other major Core Banking Systems
Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech environments
Experience working on system implementation, enhancement, migration, or production support projects
