Java Developer

Project

You will develop and operate a modern document management platform that supports sales and customer processes through automated document creation and management. You will assume end-to-end responsibility for Java-based Spring Boot microservices and actively contribute to the platform's technical development. Start date: January 4, 2027, full-time (100%) in Zurich for 12 months.

Task

• Development, enhancement and operation of microservices with Java and Spring Boot
• Implementation of the entire development process from conception and design through implementation and testing to deployment.
• Development and maintenance of web applications with Angular and TypeScript
• Analysis of technical requirements and close collaboration with business engineering, specialist departments and sales
• Design and further development of APIs, interfaces and integrations
• Ensuring stability, performance and security during operation, including monitoring, logging and incident management.
• Participation in architectural decisions, code reviews, refactoring, and automated testing.
• Continuous optimization of the platform, for example through automation, self-services and API-first approaches.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in software development and/or DevOps-related roles
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, Node.js and REST APIs
• Experience with XML/JSON, relational databases and JPA/Hibernate
• Safe handling of Linux and shell
• Knowledge of Clean Code, Design Patterns, Testing and Code Reviews
• Basic knowledge of software security
• Analytical, structured and team-oriented work style
• Nice-to-have: Kubernetes, Cloud/On-Premises, CI/CD, Monitoring and Deployment Automation.
