Java Developer (J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, K8s, PCI DSS, AWS, Azure, OAuth)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design and implement microservices-based solutions to support distributed applications and complex business integrations.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable backend solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable secure and efficient communication between enterprise systems.
• Establish coding standards, reusable design patterns, and development practices to improve software quality and consistency.
• Optimize data access and application performance using Hibernate/JPA and appropriate database technologies.
• Design event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka to support reliable communication between distributed services.
• Drive cloud application development and deployment across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Manage application containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate React applications with backend services.
• Identify architectural risks, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and improve application reliability and performance.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices to improve delivery quality and deployment efficiency.
• Ensure applications follow security best practices and relevant compliance requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software development, backend engineering, and enterprise application integration.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience in RESTful API development, integration, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience in oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and application architecture.
• Practical experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience with Spring Cloud and API documentation using OpenAPI.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD and build tools such as Maven.
• Experience in OAuth , secure coding practices, OWASP guidelines, and PCI-related security standards.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development.
• Experience in React and frontend-backend integration.
• Experience in application performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and production support.
• Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
• Certification in Java programming is preferred.
