Madiff is hiring a Java Developer in Warsaw to build and maintain backend systems for enterprise insurance product and sales platforms. Day-to-day work centers on Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Oracle (SQL/PL-SQL), including defect analysis, unit testing, code reviews, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
We are looking for a Java Developer to support the development and maintenance of enterprise product and sales systems within the insurance domain. The role focuses on designing and developing backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Oracle, implementing new business requirements, and maintaining existing applications. The consultant will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams while contributing to code quality, testing, and modern software architecture practices.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop solutions using Java
• Implement new business requirements using Spring and Spring Boot
• Develop and maintain backend services
• Design and model data structures
• Work with Oracle databases
• Analyse and resolve application defects
• Develop unit tests
• Maintain high code quality
• Participate in code reviews
• Analyse business requirements with internal stakeholders
• Translate requirements into technical solutions
• Cooperate with Architects, DevOps, Application Maintenance and Infrastructure teams
Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of commercial Java development experience
• Strong Java knowledge, ideally Java 11+

• Good understanding of software architecture and design principles
