About the opportunity

We are looking for a hands‑on Java Developer Manager to lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications. The role involves technical leadership, stakeholder management, solution design, and team mentoring while ensuring high‑quality software delivery across projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Java developers across the software development lifecycle
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high‑performance Java applications
• Drive technical architecture discussions and solution design decisions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, QA, DevOps, and cross‑functional teams
• Review code quality, enforce best practices, and ensure coding standards are maintained
• Mentor and coach junior developers and support career development within the team
• Manage project timelines, risks, and resource planning to ensure successful delivery
• Participate in client discussions, requirement gathering, and technical estimations
• Support CI/CD implementation, system integration, and cloud deployment initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support when required

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimally 6 years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java
• Prior experience leading or managing development teams
• Strong experience with:
  • Java 8/11/17
  • Spring Boot / Spring Framework
  • RESTful APIs & Microservices
  • SQL & relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams in a fast‑paced environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes
• Exposure to Kafka, Redis, or event‑driven architecture
• Knowledge of frontend technologies is a plus
• Consulting or client‑facing experience preferred
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
• Ability to balance hands‑on technical work with people management
• Proactive and adaptable in dynamic environments
